Assessment FAQs
We invite all members to attend Budget Committee meetings, if open (as decided by the Committee Chair each year). The times and locations are announced in our newsletter when meetings begin. Members are also strongly encouraged to attend the Members’ Budget Forum. The date, time and location is announced annually in our newsletter and also posted on the bulletin boards in each amenity building. This annual meeting is where members learn about the operating budget for the coming year and have a chance to ask questions. The annual assessment is based on the number of KCCA members and the budgeted operating income and expenses.
As the cost to operate the business increases, annual assessments can also increase (the cost of goods and services generally goes up each year). We strongly encourage Members to be involved in the annual budgeting process and to attend the Members’ Budget Forum. These are some of the ways Members can be informed of what to expect in the coming year.
Community Best Practices FAQs
We only ask for your name, address (to verify you are a member) and an email to contact you.
We will never ask for your social security number, driver’s license, credit card information or any other personal items you don’t wish to share. You will have the option on your dashboard to add more information, but this is optional. You are in total control of what you share or don’t share.
KCCA residents are responsible for maintaining / repairing (if needed) the lamppost in front of their home, which includes replacing the light bulbs. Light bulbs can be purchased at any store that carries them. We recommend energy efficient LED bulbs, which can be purchased in the Office (100 watt $4 and 60 watt $2) if more convenient.
